Kingdom of God, Kingdom of Heaven Same? Different? What say ye? I found a feller online that had page after page explaining the difference between the Kingdom of God, and the Kingdom of Heaven. Much speaking, many, many words proving his point. I asked a couple of questions, such as... 1. 2Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness So, if the above is true, then the Holy Spirit INSPIRED Mathew to write this... Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Matthew 11:11 KJB And, Luke was INSPIRED to write this... For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. Luke 7:28 KJB 2. Those verses pertain to the SAME incident of Christ's preaching, do they not? Seems the Holy Spirit inspired Matthew and Luke to use BOTH phrases to describe the same thing. The terms kingdom of heaven and kingdom of God emphasize two aspects of the same kingdom. Kingdom of God reminds us that God is the ruler of the kingdom. Yep...been down that road before. They are the same. Some people are so caught up in "rightly dividing", that they will divide things just for the sake of dividing...
