Argument from a charismatic...
(back then)...they saw healings and people raised from the dead. Jesus Himself said that believers would even do greater things than what He did.
Well, He raised some from the dead, did He not?
So, the question is, does "do greater things" mean the type of thing or the quantity of things?
Physical things, or spiritual things?
I don't think even the most heretical lunatic from TBN will say they raise people from the dead.
So Christ had to be speaking of QUANTITY of things.

And since NO ONE can stand at the entrance to an ER and heal those that pass by on gurney's. Or, of course, they would be doing just that, would they not?
So, He was speaking of the QUANTITY of SPIRITUAL things.

If I preach Christ and Him crucified to a man and that man gets convicted, repentant, and saved.
What has happened to that man?
He has been
1. Brought back from spiritual death
He has been healed of spiritual,
2. blindness - he now sees the truth
3. deafness - he now hears the truth
4. lameness - he can now walk with God
5. dumbness (as in mute) - he can now speak to man about God
ALL the maladies that Christ healed with miracles (to prove His veracity) is done unto one man that gets saved.
Greater quantity indeed

Those that practice a form of 'christianity' without the indwelling Holy Spirit, will watch a man (Benny Hinn comes to mind) onstage (also without the Holy Spirit) PRETEND to do the miracles that Christ did. And throw money at him for his efforts.
Never understanding one bit of what Christ really meant. Or WHY He did miracles. They just want to be entertained!
